Kauai: Day 4

On this particular morning I was feeling a whole year (or more) older... A few aches and pains. I was hoping that it wasn't because of my age but, instead, because of all the sand walking and activity that we were doing!

We packed up early and headed to the west side of the island. Seeing as how I'm from the Grand Canyon state, it meant I had to see Hawaii's big hole in the ground too! Obviously, it was way prettier than the one in Arizona... Smaller, but prettier! We took our time heading back to the condo. We had shaved ice for an appetizer and then got subs for lunch! What? I know, that sounds more like we had dessert first. However, when you're in Hawaii, shaved ice comes first! We even had seconds for dinner! I didn't get a gold star in parenting this day because this was way too much syrup in one day for my boys. It's not good when you're kids go to bed telling you that their stomachs hurt and you know it's your fault! Oops!

After we visited another waterfall we realized the boys were done and we needed to head back to the condo. They slept on the way and then we're full of energy once we arrived. And, of course, there was only one thing they wanted... The pool! These little guys are surrounded by water and they just want to go to the pool! But, we do whatever it takes!
