September Sightings...

September has been a busy month for us. Typically we're just mowing the grass, eating cars, riding bikes, playing with super heroes, AND of course insuring that little brother doesn't play with those super heroes! However, I thought I would share a few other events that took place...

At the beginning of the month we FINALLY went and saw Toy Story 3. Yes, we made Isaac wait 'til it was in the $2 theater!

Isaac got his first car... Car bed that is! I found it at a yard sale for $10!!! When Parker is ready for a big boy bed we are going to get bunk beds. So, in the meantime, this is a cheap and easy solution!

Parker would never take a bottle and thinks the sippy cup is a funny chew toy BUT the first time we handed him a straw cup, he took it with no problem! Crazy kid!
Boys bathroom. Before and after...
Shaun tiled all by himself. He said you can learn a lot from youtube videos!

Some of the details! My dad made the stool for Isaac when he turned one!

We took Spider-man to look for plants, flowers, and bushes for our naked front yard. We left overwhelmed and empty-handed!

Downstairs bathroom. Before and after...
The bathroom is big enough to put in a tub, but in the meantime I'm using the shower curtain to hide the litter box! :)

Before and after...
Yes, we still need to clean the mirror, fill in holes, hang pictures, and put in baseboards. HOWEVER, this is amazing progress because last week this bathroom looked like........

.......THIS!!!!!! See!? A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Just like the man that made it all happen! I don't think there is anything that Shaun can't do!

We even managed to get a family picture! We put the camera on the tripod so that's why the boys aren't smiling. There was no one making silly faces at them...

Route 66

Last Saturday the boys and I headed to the Route 66 car show/event. It was hot and loud! Shaun and Isaac loved every second of it, while Parker and I just enjoyed being all together. I had no idea what the names of the cars where so I would just point out the ones that I thought were pretty. They had vendors gallor and street after street was lined with cars and trucks.

Picture with a pink car just for mommy!

Isaac and a red car...

Another red car! Nap time... Parker was done!

Isaac enjoying some yummy chicken strips

Parker trying to get to Isaac's chicken strips without having to put too much of his body on the grass!

We parked at the fire station where Shaun's friend works. His kids (triplets) came to join in on the fun!
Parker loving the attention from Taylor and Abbey

Isaac and Gavin
Sadly, this WAS the best picture we could get of Isaac.

Then and Now

I have lots to blog, but no time to do it! All our fall activities hit last week which means busy, busy, busy! Couldn't resist posting these pictures in the meantime though...

Then... February
Now... September
(It's so hard to take a picture now. Can you see the determination on Parker's face? He so badly wants to get the camera so I was having to hold him back. AND Isaac was not happy about having to stop play time to take a stinkin' picture... He fakes it pretty well though).

Go Wild...

Getting a jump start on the boys "Go Wild" birthday party! I'm sure Isaac would much rather have a super hero party, But, that's what happens when your little brother is born 6 days (and of course two years) after you... A themed party that will work for a joint celebration! :)

A typical night...

Tonight, after baths but before bedtime, the boys were playing, like usual, so I decided to take a few pictures! They are enjoying each other so much these days. It's giggles all the time! I find myself slipping away more often to do things (like shower and chores of course) because they entertain one another! For those first time moms that are struggling to get through the first few months and are asking, "Why in the world would you do this again?" My answer.. This is why!

You're never too young to start learning the planets! :)

My new storage/sitting furniture piece. The only reason I'm letting Isaac eat on it is because the first day I brought it home Parker ate a tissue and then threw it up on the ottoman! I figured what's a few crumbs compared to regurgitated stomach fluid!
Parker LOVES tents! The bum pictures is my favorite!

You'd never guess Parker was SOOO tired! He's such a happy guy! So much personality too! It's a bummer his brother can't be the same way...

I mean... Look at him... So boring!

Not an ounce of personality...

He's always so upset and mad at the world...

Some days I wish he would just loosen up and live a little...

Not be so serious... Oh well, we'll keep working on him! ;)

Poop Parker... So much love for one little guy to handle!

Ahhh... Now that's better!!! Good night!

Hello Sea World! We've missed you!!!

This has been a tough week for our boys. They've been a little under the weather. Parker started the week out with a killer fever and then it turned into a cold... The bad cough, non stop runny nose, short naps, and up at night kind of cold. Isaac thinks it's funny to run around the house with Parker's pacifier in his mouth and cry like a baby so I knew he would soon follow. We've been cooped up, wiping noses every five seconds, and needing some fresh air. We saw that Sea World was buy a year, get the second year free so we decided that we would head down to San Diego (even though Shaun and I hardly slept the night before 'cause both boys had been up). We hadn't been since before Parker was born and Isaac had been asking to go back for so long. Even with the sniffles, it was the most perfect day! Not one meltdown!!! We took our time and went wherever Isaac wanted. The boys enjoyed the sights and Shaun and I enjoyed their smiling faces!

The highlight of the day... The penguins!

The sharks... Dom, dom, dom!

The show, Blue Horizon. It was super cool and I don't think Isaac moved during the entire 23 minutes... Completely fascinated!

Some "just because" pictures!
Parker spreading his germs in the baby/toddler area. This used to be Isaac's favorite spot but he's too big for it now! Makes me sad to see him grow! :(
Isaac always loves chasing the birds. Typically they see him coming and are long gone. BUT it was more fun this time because there was popcorn on the ground so they kept coming back!

Library, playground, and french fries

These are just a few of the things we do when Shaun is at work! Actually, we go to the library and park all the time BUT the fast food french fries was a new thing. We had them at some friend's house the other night. I had forgotten to bring Parker his own food so I handed him a fry and it quickly became his first "big people" food. Ladies and gentlemen, my child is finally eating solid food! No more gagging! I figured I'd give him a shot at them again! Anyway, because Shaun works 48 hour shifts, the boys and I try to stay busy while he's gone (Target is our number one destination!). Our new house is super close to a community center and the boys love going. The library is a great place to teach Isaac volume control. One problem we face these days, when reading books, is that Isaac wants the characters to pop up out of the pages so he can put them in his hand and play with them! He thinks that we just need to go to the toy aisle at the store and he can buy the action figure! I think it all started when his Go Diego Go book came with a little Diego and Jaguar.
Check out Isaac's cheeks! Yes, those are Spider-man gloves! He even sleeps in them. One time he lost one in the night so he came into our room asking us to go find it! Sorry, not on my list of things to do at 3:30 in the morning!

My little guys love the swings! Isaac intoduced himself to other kids as Spider-man. Parker tries so hard to do what the big boys do!

Chowing down. We stayed at the park way too long so that didn't leave much time for cooking. Chicken sandwiches and fries were quick and yummy!

She's here...

Kylie Isabel
August 27th, 2010
7lbs. 10oz. 20in.
As perfect as ever!

Our good friends, Matt and Adriana, welcomed Kylie into the world last week. She is absolutely precious! Here are some pictures of us meeting Kylie for the first time.

Don't I look good with a little girl!?

But Shaun looks super good with a little girl in his arms! Aww!

Adriana doesn't even look like she just had a baby!

I've always wanted boy, boy, girl... Isaac was very proud of his little brother but wasn't so sure about Kylie!

Parker wanting to bring the attention back to him!

Parker, isn't Kylie beautiful? She's your new girlfriend and someday she'll be your wife!

What??? My girlfriend??? Wife???

I'm out of here!!!

The new little family!
