Big Bear for the 4th

Shaun's captain has a cabin in Big Bear and he so graciously let us use it for a few days! Most of the time it's hard to relax with three little ones, even on "vacation." However, I think this trip was successful seeing as how we let nature do the entertaining!

My boys' imaginations where on fire! They had so much fun creating a whole new world in these woods! So much open space to run free was pretty thrilling too! We did a lot of exploring, stick finding, and bird/fish/squirrel/bug watching. One adventure they enjoyed was having dinner at AM/PM! Yes, slurpees and pastries. Daddy just might have locked the keys in the truck and we had to wait for help. AM/PM was the only thing close!

Even though I grew up in Arizona, Big Bear is very familiar to me. I spent six youth camps (7th through 12th grade) at Pine Summit! Yes, we Arizonians would drive all the way to California for camp! We couldn't help ourselves... Everything about it is wonderful...

Endless bridges...

Wild animals...

Beautiful back drops...

... and smiling faces!
Still amazed with MY three boys!

Isaac as a reindeer and that blue speck in the second picture is Parker. Blake was happy to stand and watch!

What Parker sees...
I didn't edit any of these either! Kudos little man!

We did a little shopping too. Star Wars Big Bear shirts - May the forest be with you!

Fireworks over the water!

Thanks Dean and Jenny! We had a wonderful time!

(All family pictures were taken by: the stroller)
